Confessions of a #FashionBlogger | Repeat Fashion Offender, Blogger meet-ups, Rebranding & More!

-
A few weeks ago I got the chance to FINALLY meet my FAV blogger boo
We've been following each other (via blogger) for YEARS.. when I say years I mean the good ol' times when people use to comment on blogs way before Instagram, No Shade.
The meetup was so good you would've thought we've known each other FOREVER.
We spent the evening shopping (of course), running through these mean NYC streets
and eating at BBQ's.

During her visit we spoke about blogging and I came to the realization that change is good, especially when it comes to blogging and if Shanequa can change up her website/brand so can I.

With that change comes a new look starting with Instagram.
I FINALLY changed my IG handle/name.
I've been "Drakes_right_hand" on Instagram since I first started IG.
The name was sort of a joke for my love for the rapper Drake.
I guess you can  say that the name grew on me and I didn't want to change it because I was comfortable with it but little did I know... that name was one of the reason I could not
connect with the right sponsors.

Knowing this, I knew that I had to make some changes.
I finally found someone to re do my blog so that was one thing already crossed off on my list. Finding the RIGHT photographer to capture me, my style in NYC is still PENDING but for now these iPhone/ my old camera photos will do, lol. And the last thing was changing my IG name to something that represents me/ my brand.

It took me a while but with help from my bestie (Sojo), who I met via the comment section on this here blog we came up with something that fits me and my brand.
It took me a while to get use to it but I am seeing some progress,

I know I'm not fully where I want to be with my brand but for now, I am good and working at the pace that feels comfortable for me. No rush because mama's career comes first and that ain't going anywhere no time soon.

P.S. I know I should be posting more but it is COLD here in NYC, a good photographer is hard to find and it's like I have clothes, but I don't have outfits... you feel me?
