1-1/2 ounce Cranberry Juice
1 ounce Blackberry Brandy
1/2 ounce Cointreau
Splash of Sour Mix
Fresh Blackberries
Combine ingredients over ice and shake well. Strain into a well-chilled martini glass. Pour 1-1/2 scoops of mulled blackberries through the center. Stir slightly. Garnish with a blackberry on the edge of the glass.

Every Friday I will feature a “Drink of the Day” and today I am featuring “A Classy B*tch”. This is my favorite drink that I like to order whenever I go to Fashion 40 (F40). When you go to F40 they give you a mini quiz to decide what drink best suites you. I took the quiz and in less than five minutes the bartender was making me a drink that described the person that I was that night…. “A Classy B*tch”. Below is the list of ingredients on how to make me… “A Classy B*tch”. ENJOY!Classy B*tch Ingredients
3/4 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Triple Sec
3/4 oz Gin
1/2 oz Lime Juice
5 oz Tonic Water

The Soundtrack of my Life: Ambitious Girl
Check out this spoken word poetry from Wale. While I do admit, Wale is a dope artist who always paints a picture with his words I cannot fully agree with some of the words that he says on this track. The reason why is because we have so many black successful females out here doing their thing and yet we they are still single. why is that? why is it so hard for a female, who is in school, has a career, own place, car, etc to still be single? maybe it is the fact that may men do not want an "Ambitious Girl".
For example two years ago I was in a relationship with a guy who I truly loved. To make a long story short it didn't work out because he said "I had to much going on for myself". Now these words can be positive or negative because if you are saying that me going back to school to get my Master's my career, no kids and ready to move up the ladder is "too much going on" then you do not want an ambitious girl.
Maybe it's me or the losers that I date but I know for sure that may men do not want one. Here is another example, Slim Thug, remember his post "Black Women Need To Stand By Their Man More" on Vibe Magazine he made towards black women? I see a double standard here. Maybe it is me but this is my damn blog so I can say whatever I feel.
I'm just saying, I feel that some men say they want this and they want that but in reality they sometimes cannot handle "An Ambitious Girl".

Hookah
Two things I want to try before the summer is over, “Bull riding and a Hookah”. "Hookah" is the name of a large water pipe that originates in India, but gained popularity in the Middle East, mainly in Turkey and Iran. It is a large pipe that utilizes water and indirect heat for smoking. The tobacco for the hookah is called “Shisha” and it comes in different flavors like, lemonade, strawberry, and peppermint, just to name a few.
My favorite lounge “Katra” has some of the best/exotic shisha flavors to offer as well as some great Moroccan food and belly dancers.
