Designer Spotlight: Dominique Auxilly

I don’t know how I came across this site but I am so glad I did and just in time for me to find that perfect dress for the end of the summer celebration that I have to attend at the end of August.

Bronx native Dominique Auxilly has definitely set a trend by styling some of the hottest stars (Nicki Minaj and Rosci Diaz) to name a few. Featured in Honey and Nuovo magazine this up and coming designer definitely has an eye for fashion, which will keep me looking hwat when I step into the scene rock’n one of her designs. My Addiction: Crumbs Cupcakes

Oowee... I fell in love over the weekend with Crumbs newest cupcake… It’s called “The Cosmopolitan” and it is to die for. I had this cupcake and felt like I was in heaven as well as being a part of the “Sex and the City” cast because you know Cosmo’s are all they drink?

Brendan Ansah (born October 28, 1990) better known as his stage name Switchey Carter, is a British Rapper. Switchey started rapping at the age of nine when his Sisters showed him the Classic Cd “Ready to Die” By Notorious B.I.G. Inspired by Tupac, Jay-z, Nas, and Notorious B.I.G, Switchey developed a love for telling stories in his lyrics.

Swtichey Carter (from the UK/North London) is looking to make it big in the hip hop industry by his story telling, word play and unique flow that nobody has heard of. Recently Switchey released an un-official remix of “Hello/ Good Morning” freestyle and just under a month he got 700 downloads and little radio play in the UK.

Switchey Carter is now gearing up to release an epic freestyle over the Roc Nation First Rapper J-Cole’s Single "Who Dat” where his friends and fans have been waiting for this freestyle as he has been promoting on Twitter and Facebook.

A set of eyes can tell you a million stories. And as look into your eyes and see the pain that is in them, I just think why does someone so beautiful on the inside and outside constantly be forced to go through so much. The saying goes "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"; which is true. But how much can one person take before they go over the edge. Whether its family issues, trouble at work, problems with exes, and now losing a childhood friend, no one should have to go through all of that alone. So to my friend who has been through this and more, even though I can't be there all the time to comfort you and put a smile on your face, I will be there in spirit.

The Soundtrack of my Life- "Love All Over Me"

I know I am late with this video and with Monica being my “Shero” you know I had to post it. I always loved this song off of Monica’s CD “Still Standing” and once I was saw the video I fell so much more in love with the song. I swear, all of Monica's songs somehow relate to me/any relationship that I've had.  I've been riding with Monica since 95' because she is so down to earth and the TRUTH!.

 I watched this video like seven times because of course Monica looked stunning in the video but the concept of the video is so dope and one that I can relate to on so many levels. You can saw that I am torn between two people that I truly love and care about. One being the Maino type and the other being like Shannon Brown’s character (Speaking of Mr. Brown I will feature him later on for“Eye candy of the day” because he is FIIIINE).

When I watch this video I see myself being Monica being torn between who she loves and who she wants to be with. It’s crazy that whenever you are happy and in a great relationship your past comes back and all of the feelings and memories that you two shared comes back. Why is it that when you are not in a relationship no one is around but the second that you are happy and loving the person that you are with the past comes back? This happens to me all the time and the only thing I want is to be is happy. Much to my surprise Monica’s ending to this video is “To be continued” but I now know my decision and what I have to do for me to be happy.

I am a huge nail polish freak. I have just about every color at home & isn’t afraid to switch it up with the different colors on my nails and toes. The nail polish of my choice would be OPI Nail polish from Sephora because to me, they are the best as well as having such a variety of colors to choose from.

BChic Shoetique Grand Opening

Last night Raashida Ali owner of (Bourgeoisie & BChic Shoetique) twitpic these photos of the Grand opening of her shoetique in Atlanta. If you don't know Raashida she owns Bourgeoisie Shoetique in Harlem and was also on an episode of VH1's Basketball Wives where she gave Jenn the business during Evelyn's birthday dinner (Drama). Slush Life Ent.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words; well last night the pictures I took explained how my night went from the beginning to end at Katra Lounge. I was celebrating my friend’s birthday as well as celebrating the completion of my practicum for Grad school. I had one to many drinks and dancing on the couch was my thing for the night. Everyone’s drink eventually ended up on my dress but I didn’t care because I was having the time of my life. If I say I don’t know how I got home would you believe me? Well its true, the only thing I remember was me throwing my phone on the table because it was going off every five minutes.

I went to sleep and had a dream I was in ecstasy and couldn’t be stopped. The night was mine and I was celebrating it with my friends the best way I knew how to. The DJ was my boyfriend because he knew what I wanted to hear. The bartender was my sponsor because he knew what I wanted to drink. The men around me were my next victims because they knew what I like. I had it all and I felt like I was on top of the world.

I felt so good that I didn’t want this dream to be over until my phone rang and that’s when everything turned black. I opened my eyes and looked around as if I didn’t recognize my own room. I got up looked at my phone (6 missed calls, 10 text messages and 5bbms). I didn’t know what happen or where I went the night before but something said to look at my camera that was on my bed. Once I looked through the pictures everything came back to me and I suddenly remembered what I did last night. I had a "Slush Life Ent." Night and the proof was in my camera. Now if I can only remember who I met last night that is stored in my phone under “Tatt’d up”... To be continued…
